JavaScript Developer (ReactJS)

iVendi is an exciting and fast-growing software company who work in the automotive finance industry, developing market leading products and services to help connect buyers, sellers and finance lenders. Our web services and applications are in use across thousands of clients across the UK and they make selling vehicles easier for motor dealers and buying vehicles easier for consumers.

With offices in Manchester (Salford Quays) and Wales and as a result of continued success and accelerated plans for growth we are now looking to expand the technical team.

To give you an idea of our scale we generate over 100 billion finance quotes per month and this is due to grow five-fold over the next 18 months.

We require ReactJS/JavaScript Engineers to contribute to the success of a broad range of products. This is an opportunity to build a great reputation and establish a leading presence.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining software for a variety of functions (such as finance quoting and credit checking, vehicle search, consumer management, analytics etc.) and across all channels (such as websites, mobile, shop floor etc).
  • Working closely with, and incorporate feedback from product managers, QA's, designers and other engineers.
  • Delivering fully-tested software iteratively and continuously.
  • Creating great looking, usable solutions that have a great user experience.
Skills & Experience Required
  • We use ReactJS, but don't mind if you've previously worked with Angular, Vue, Ember.
  • Familiar with ES6/7/8
  • Typescript
  • Ability to design responsive CSS3 applications that work across all mainstream devices.
  • Experience with sass/less, bootstrap or other CSS frameworks.
  • Experience with JavaScript build tools such as webpack and gulp.
  • UI unit and automation testing using mocha, selenium, jasmine.
  • An appreciation of SOA and Event Driven architecture and distributed systems theory; understanding of what makes systems highly scalable, available and performing.
  • Exposure to HTTP-based JSON APIs.
  • Some knowledge of queuing and caching.
  • Exposure to NoSQL, large-data or relational data stores.
  • Ability to deliver fully-tested software iteratively and continuously.
  • Ability to deliver software on a multi-engineer environment.

Sales Account Executive

Salary: £21,000

Role Overview

The Sales Account Executive role is an essential part of the Sales team at iVendi. You will be a vital part of this customer centric department delivering outstanding account management to our clients. This opportunity offers a fantastic range of responsibilities including; maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new customers, achieving individual and company sales targets and delivering an outstanding customer experience. This role is very much a consultative sales role with strong relationship building skills required. You will not be making hundreds of calls a day, it really is all about getting to know your customer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding and fast-growing market leading company. You will receive full training and support to succeed in the role. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm with some flexibility required.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage the relationships predominantly with existing customers and third parties.

Quality Analyst

Role Overview

The Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality of the solution delivered by the Product Development Team is fit for purpose, and is scalable, resilient and secure in line with iVendi's contractual commitments.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Product Development Team produce high performing and stable products.
  • Evangelise the need for quality within the team to ensure all team members are considering quality at each stage of product design and development.
  • Ensure production code has been suitably unit tested, and sufficient automated testing exists.
  • Ensure production code has suitable end to end automated tests in place.
  • Perform manual testing when needed.
  • Ensure scalability and performance is considered and testing is in place.
  • Ensure data protection and security has been considered and relevant safeguards are in place.
  • Ensure sufficient monitoring/alerting of systems is in place to highlight problems proactively in the live environment.
Key Tasks
  • Understand the product vision, the needs of users and the commercial needs of the business to define quality of service.
  • Understand defined service levels, security guidelines and data protection principles and drive these forward within the team.
  • Work closely within the team to ensure ISO defined development procedures are practiced.
  • Work with the Developers to ensure appropriate unit testing is conducted.
  • Work with Product Managers to ensure requirements are understood and the software fulfils these objectives.
  • Ensure sufficient automated testing exists to ensure the quality of releases.
  • Perform manual functional testing to test software functionality when needed.
  • Look to minimise risk with releases through promoting a culture of small changes.
  • Ensure sufficient alerting and monitoring of the live environment exists.
  • Communicate concerns about debt that will impact quality and / or the product.

The Product Manager is ultimately responsible for the success of a product(s) within iVendi.

The Product Manager's primary function is to contribute to the product strategy and vision and manage the delivery of the product roadmap within a product focused Development Team. Using data and research to guide prioritisation and decision making the Product Manager will work closely with the Development Team and collaborate with stakeholders from across the business.

Although we are predominantly a ‘.net shop’ we do not following everything Microsoft (if you want to work with Entity Framework or WCF, this is not the job for you). Our core services are written in C# however we embrace Open Source frameworks and packages such as NGINX, Nancy, GetEventStore, NSQ and ReactJS. Whilst you will have good knowledge of the .net framework and C#, you will also embrace the value of looking outside the gates.
