Marketing Manager

Role Overview

We're looking for a talented Marketing Specialist to join the iVendi team to further develop our strategic communications through effective branding.

The right candidate will be forward thinking, creative and not scared to experiment or suggest off the wall ideas. They must be open to learning, enjoy working hard to achieve maximum results and be prepared to work additional hours when required. The successful candidate will be someone that can throw all of their energy into a brand that they and the company can be even more proud of.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead on all marketing activities and channels for the company to build and maintain a striking 'brand' identity for iVendi.
  • Gain and maintain a full understanding of iVendi's marketplace, our industry, the business, and the needs of our customers.
  • Work closely with the sales teams to assist them achieve budgetary forecasts
  • Consistently produce new ideas and innovative marketing concepts to meet business needs and capitalise on marketing / brand building opportunities.
  • Deliver and land effective marketing campaigns which demonstrate ROI.
  • Liaise with and effectively manage the businesses relationship with external media companies and marketing partners.
  • Work with the wider internal design team, to ensure consistency of the brand across all media and that everything the business produces is on brand.
Essential Skills
  • The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
  • Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair and an ability to free hand sketch ideas
  • Excellent communication skills in order to interpret and negotiate briefs with clients
  • Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients and colleagues
  • Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time
  • Ability to organise and manage multiple projects/campaigns
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when finalising designs
  • Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your concepts/designs
  • The ability to work in a fast paced and changeable environment.
  • Ability to work in a team by demonstrating flexibility, a positive attitude and the ability to share knowledge - a real team player
  • Customer focused - have the ability to listen and respond to customers providing a quality driven service
  • The ability to create innovative ideas from marketing briefs
  • Digital marketing experience across all social media channels

QA Engineer (Automation)

Role Overview

The Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality of the solution delivered by the Product Development Team is fit for purpose, and is scalable, resilient and secure in line with iVendi's contractual commitments.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Product Development Team produce high performing and stable products.
  • Evangelise the need for quality within the team to ensure all team members are considering quality at each stage of product design and development.
  • Ensure production code has been suitably unit tested, and sufficient automated testing exists.
  • Ensure production code has suitable end to end automated tests in place.
  • Perform manual testing when needed.
  • Ensure scalability and performance is considered and testing is in place.
  • Ensure data protection and security has been considered and relevant safeguards are in place.
  • Ensure sufficient monitoring/alerting of systems is in place to highlight problems proactively in the live environment.
Key Tasks
  • Understand the product vision, the needs of users and the commercial needs of the business to define quality of service.
  • Understand defined service levels, security guidelines and data protection principles and drive this forward within the team.
  • Work closely within the team to ensure ISO defined development procedures are practiced.
  • Work with the Developers to ensure appropriate unit testing is conducted.
  • Work with Product Managers to ensure requirements are understood and the software fulfils these objectives.
  • Ensure sufficient automated testing exists to ensure the quality of releases.
  • Perform manual functional testing to test software functionality when needed.
  • Look to minimise risk with releases through promoting a culture of small changes.
  • Ensure sufficient alerting and monitoring of the live environment exists.
  • Communicate concerns about debt that will impact quality and / or the product.

Senior Software Engineer

iVendi's story so far...

iVendi’s aim is simple, empower our clients through technology and empower our team through autonomy. Our back-end is predominantly written in C#, our domain is event sourced (essentially a log of all actions on our platforms). Although we are predominantly a ‘.net’ we do not follow everything Microsoft (if you want to work with Entity Framework or WCF, this is not the job for you). Our core services are written in C# however we embrace Open Source frameworks and packages such as NGINX, Nancy, GetEventStore, NSQ and ReactJS. Whilst you will have good knowledge of the .net framework and C#, you will also embrace the value of looking outside the gates.

As a Senior Software Engineer (Server Side) at iVendi you will own the technical design for projects of moderate complexity and understand the trade-offs in creating good software in your area. In addition to writing consistently high-quality code you will be aware of industry best practices and trends and demonstrate at least one major skill outside of programming such as monitoring, performance optimisation, documentation, integration testing, visual design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively and systematically resolve software errors through debugging.
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of industry trends, our infrastructure and our build systems to own and team's work.
  • Approach and dispatch any roadblocks efficiently and effectively; pulling in others as necessary.
  • Take the initiative to fix issues before being assigned to them. Seek empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests and external research.
  • Deliver complex products to QA that are well-baked and bug free.
  • Communicate technical decisions through design docs, tech talks and other effective communication methods.
  • Mentor junior engineers via pairing, training, coaching, design reviews, and code reviews

Product Executive II

At iVendi we want to move more of the car buying journey online. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced product manager with B2C product experience to join our consumer product development team to turn car dealer website visitors into online vehicle purchasers. If you are interested in making the car buying process easier for buyers and sellers, then we want to hear from you.

The Product Executive's primary function is to contribute to the product strategy and vision and manage the delivery of the product roadmap within a product focused Development Team. Using data and research to guide prioritisation and decision making the Product Manager will work closely with the Development Team and collaborate with stakeholders from across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the product vision across the organisation, and externally.
  • Understand the needs and key problems faced by your target audience.

  • Produce communications so that stakeholders across the business are kept up to date with activity.

Key Tasks
  • Conducting customer visits, interviews and researching activity within market to understand opportunities.
  • Using quantitative data to monitor product conversion and define experiments to improve the product.
  • Publishing and constantly reviewing and communicating the product roadmap and backlog.
  • Working very closely with members of the Development Team to define requirements, run event storming workshops, create stories, and ensure the product value is being delivered.
  • Monitor the success of the product and Product Team through measuring KPI's. 
  • Work with sales function to understand their needs and manage their expectations of product delivery.
