ETL Developer

Manchester, M5

iVendi Ltd connects with thousands of automotive dealers in the UK and thousands of consumer car buyers via dealer websites and consumer advertising portals. We provide around 50 million finance quotations each month which provides us with a wealth of data we want to harvest to enable both new product opportunities and informed decision making. Reporting to the VP of Data and Insight, the role will play a key part in helping us develop and grow this exciting new area of the business.

The successful candidate will have experience of data stores such as AWS Redshift or Google BigQuery. The role will involve writing ETL jobs from a mix of SQL and nonSQL datastores including SQLServer, MongoDB and Azure. Experience of working with event based and unstructured data is a must. In addition a key part of the role will be developing a governance framework to monitor and maintain the integrity and performance of the data store.

Junior Quality Analyst

Manchester, M5

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of iVendi’s award winning products is second to none. You will join a team of highly regarded software engineers, all passionate about building great user experiences.

You’ll be supporting a number of award winning products within an agile working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Participating in developing and documenting User Stories, including testing estimates and validation tests
  • Creation of tests – ideally up-front but on a just-in-time basis per feature if needed
  • Analysing the product features, and the product as a whole, to ensure it behaves as intended
  • Ensuring components and features are complete, based on the customer definition of “done”
  • Executing tests and improve iteratively as new features become part of regression and other test cycles
  • Raising and manage defects within our internal management system
  • Managing the defect log and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix
  • Collaboration in daily standups
  • Using feedback from all stakeholders to expand test scenarios
  • Demonstrating the ability to change direction and re-prioritise in a fast-paced team environment
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships, working closely with our Business Analyst and Development team to ensure issues are progressed
Key Skills Qualifications required
  • A computing related/numerate degree at 2.1 (or equivalent) and above
  • Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language
  • Ability to communicate to colleagues and customers of varying ages and backgrounds
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Logical thinker with good problem-solving skills
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated and accurate
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain a broad range of functional knowledge about the iVendi platforms
  • Be able to work as part of a team, whilst also assuming responsibility for your own work
  • Adaptable and able to manage multiple on-going tasks at any given time
  • Must be eager to understand new functionality, technologies and acquire new skills to enhance capability
Desirable
  • To understand software testing methodologies
  • Awareness or experience of automated test process’s and functions
  • Knowledge of Open Source testing tools such as Selenium
  • Experience of Cross browser & multiple device testing

Agile Business Analyst

Our products are in use by thousands of clients across the UK and make selling vehicles easier for motor dealers and buying vehicles easier for consumers. With offices in Manchester and Wales, and as a result of continued success and accelerated plans for growth, we are now looking to expand the team. Reporting to the VP of Product, the successful Business Analyst will be passionate and enthusiastic about building web applications and great user experiences.

Responsibilities for the position of Business Analyst will include:
  • Requirements Elicitation: using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Requirements Development: ensure quality business requirements and processmaps are produced. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Requirements Management: Oversee end-to-end traceability against quality business requirements using appropriate tools and templates.
  • Solution Assessment & Validation: Engages with key stakeholders to influence the solution design to meet business goals, scope and strategy requirements. Provides input into the identification and delivery of project benefits, traceability of requirements and impact of solutions. Develops cross business and service user communications, acceptance test plans and supports testing and implementation.
  • Structured Approach: Defines the project objectives, scopes overall approach, plans and completes standard Change documentation and tools.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain networks with a diverse group of stakeholders to influence and support the delivery of projects. In addition to the above, you will be the liaison between the business units,technology teams and support teams including acting as an interface with the client.
Your skills and qualifications will include:
  • Proven business analysis skills with a thorough understanding of business analysis methodologies.
  • Experience of working within an Agile project environment.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferential although really not essential.
  • Strong Analytical skill set.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Customer / Helpdesk Support Advisor

This Customer/Helpdesk Support Advisor role may be different from other typical roles of its kind.

Based in our new high spec offices in Colwyn Bay (MacBook's and brand new desk set ups for everyone) there is now an immediate requirement for some additional Customer/Helpdesk Support Advisors to join our Client Services team. You will be a vital part of this customer centric department delivering outstanding service and support to clients.

Responsibilities
  • To assist the sales team to manage client accounts and continue to develop rapport with key contacts.
  • On-boarding customers from set up to product launch.
  • Ensuring smooth implementation of all products & services sold, ensuring timely and successful delivery of the company's solutions.
  • Offering customers technical support or escalating issues when required.
  • Developing a real understanding of all the technical and business needs in the motor finance industry.
  • There will be a requirement to speak to clients, so a good telephone manner is a must have, along with a technical mind and problem-solving abilities.
Key Skills and Qualifications required
  • A proven customer service record and experience in delivering solutions based service.
  • Friendly and confident when communicating with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced and changeable environment.
  • An analytical and professional approach with great problem solving skills - you need to be able to get to the root of the issue during your conversation with the customer.
  • Able to work in a team by demonstrating flexibility, a positive attitude and sharing knowledge - a real team player.
  • A logical thinker and systems driven.
  • Rapport Building - have the ability to build rapport and develop key relationships.
  • Customer focused - have the ability to listen and respond to customers providing a quality driven service.
  • Experience within the motor, finance or software industry would be an advantage.
  • Experience in a service desk role, first line response IT Support, or junior development skills would be an advantage but most importantly is your ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • A passion and interest in new technology would also be an advantage.
