Regular visitors to the iVendi Blog will know that we’ve decided to enter this year’s Bangers4BEN charity run to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello and back.
Well, we’ve now taken the important step of finding our banger – a 2003 Toyota Avensis (pictured) supplied by Slaters of Abergele, who also kindly put it through their workshop.
This is the machine that will hopefully take the iVendi team of Phil Harding, Marketing Manager, and Craig Moss, Head of Finance, through a journey of more than 1,500 miles.
On our return, the Avensis will be auctioned, alongside all the other bangers that took part in the run, at BCA’s Blackbushe centre – with all the proceeds going to BEN, the motor industry benevolent fund.
It sounds like it is going to be huge fun and, most importantly, we’ll be raising funds for a very worthwhile cause. Last year, the total was close to £56,000.
